Overview

This education built the programming base I still rely on: web fundamentals, backend logic, databases, and the habit of understanding software through underlying concepts instead of only through one framework.

Detail

This phase was about fundamentals: learning how frontends, backend logic, and databases interact, and building the discipline to reason about software systematically. Working across HTML/CSS, PHP, C#, and SQL mattered because it discouraged tool-specific thinking and pushed toward a broader engineering understanding.

The direct outcome is a stronger technical base. It is easier to learn new tools when the underlying concepts are already stable, and that foundation still shows up whenever data modeling, backend behavior, or implementation tradeoffs need to be reasoned through from first principles.

The stack included HTML/CSS, PHP, C#, and SQL, but the deeper value was learning program structure, debugging habits, and basic system thinking. Those fundamentals remain useful because they make newer abstractions easier to assess instead of simply adopting them on trust.

  • Built the core mental model for how interfaces, backend logic, and data fit together.
  • Developed comfort moving between languages and runtime constraints without losing sight of the underlying structure.
  • Created a durable base for later work in JavaScript systems, product engineering, and data-backed applications.
